My Story

On 21 December, the longest night of the year, the Children & Family Health Devon Safeguarding Team will be walking 5km at Haldon Forest to help Childline be ready for every question this Christmas. On average, a child contacts Childline every 45 seconds and last Christmas, 5,499 children contacted Childline to ask for help.

- £4 could pay to answer a life-changing call to Childline

- £29 could pay for a Childline supervisor for one hour, supporting our volunteer counsellors

- £48 could help answer a call from one child every day over the 12 days of Christmas

- £100 could pat for our trained volunteer counsellors to answer up to 25 calls for help to Childline
